CABIN AIR FILTER REPLACEMENT SERVICES
The cabin air filter cleans the air that comes into the interior through the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning system and catches dust, pollen and other airborne material. There seems to be some confusion about them in that we should be able to clear up. Much of the confusion starts because cabin air filters are relatively new. Not all vehicles in have them, so some people confuse their cabin air filter with the engine air filter.
Every vehicle in has an engine air filter that cleans the air going into the engine, but not all have a cabin air filter that cleans the air going into the passenger compartment. Easy to get mixed up.
The cabin air filter cleans out dust, pollen, spores and other pollutants. To give a point of comparison, a grain of sand is about 200 microns across. A cabin air filter can stop particles that are just 3 microns in size. It really does make the passenger cabin a much more pleasant environment.
When the cabin air filter gets dirty, you just need to replace it. Your owner’s manual may have a recommended interval for changing it. If not we can inspect it. You know, it’s ironic that many people who don’t realize they even have a cabin air filter first find out they do when it starts to get smelly.
Some cabin air filters are very easy to access when it’s time to replace them. Others, not so much. We may have to get behind the dashboard and it takes some time.

When people come into our service center needing a new battery, they’re not excited about having to spend the money. However, the fact is that 70 percent of batteries don’t make it for 4 years. Most people often take short trips around Delavan with lots of stops for errands. As a result, our batteries can end up not getting fully recharged just by driving around. That also shortens battery life. Also, running your battery way down is bad for it: Things like running the headlights or watching a DVD player with the car turned off can deeply deplete your battery. The Deserving Rides program is based on a fairly straightforward process: local community members nominate someone who is deserving of a free vehicle, which Advanced Auto Clinic then gives away. To date, nominees have received a Chevy Tahoe, a Subaru Outback, a Ford Fusion, a Toyota Camry and a Chevy Malibu.
Advanced Auto Clinic owner Tony Lynn is always looking for ways to give back to the community and to make a difference in people’s lives, and by spearheading Deserving Rides, he has set himself apart as both a community leader and as someone who not only cares but is motivated to do good in the world. One of the recipients of a Deserving Rides vehicle, Jonathan, has used his new wheels to deliver food to people in need.

2019 Deserving Rides Winner Todd Harder
Our 2019 winner last year was Pastor Todd Harder from Faith Baptist Church in Delavan who was nominated by several local members of the community. Todd is a devoted husband and father and serves our community in many ways including assisting the local food pantry, delivering meals on Thanksgiving, helps with counseling people and setting up marriage classes and other programs, volunteers his time to the county police department as a chaplain and serves our nation as an Air Force Reserve Chaplain. He is the type of person who is always willing to help people when they ask!

In 2017 AAC received a donated GMC Yukon from Fred Krablean of Neenah and decided to give it away right away. Because this vehicle was an SUV, he marketed the give-away as for a deserving family. The winner of the Yukon was Patty Sonheim of Delavan.

AAC gave a Subaru away in December 2016 to recipient Jonathan Bradley. Jonathan has been using his new wheels to deliver food to people in need.

On Dec. 10, 2016 AAC gave away a 2007 Ford Fusion to Bob Geist during the Deserving Rides program. When the nominations came in, a committee of five people evaluated the needs of 72 nominees before choosing the winner.

There is no time to waste; we are losing our senior Veterans at a rate of 900 – 1000 per day! These heroes are now in their seventies to their mid-nineties and time is NOT on their side. 1965 Veteran’s and Rosies from 36 states have made this memorable journey to see THEIR memorials in Washington, D.C. The Tour consists of visits to these glorious locations.
